No Bake Holiday Treats

That are Quick, Easy, & Festive

Simply Made Eats by Tara

This may be a controversial topic, but I'm already sick of Christmas cookies. I've made and eaten so many in the past month from getting recipes on the blog, that I'm ready for something NEW.

I also realize that many of you probably haven't made any cookies yet, but I'm here to bring you options. Last week you got cookies, and this week you get no bake treats.

Make some of both! To the recipes..

Hot Cocoa Dip

I just made this Hot Cocoa Dip for the first time this season and it's super yummy and really fun. The actual hot cocoa dip is only 4 ingredients (5 with mini marshmallows) and takes 10 minutes to prep. This will be an absolute favorite at any holiday party for an appetizer or dessert.

Serve it with Teddy Grahams, Graham Crackers, Milano Cookies, and/or Oreos. My favorite is the honey Teddy Grahams because it's not too sweet of a mixture.

I should also mention that my kids were obsessed with this recipe. My youngest said it's her favorite thing I ever made, haha!

Andes Mint Fudge

Another 4 ingredient recipe is coming to town, with this delicious Mint Fudge. It's a no bake recipe and made in the double boiler on the stovetop (or you can make a fake one like mine with a pot and glass bowl).

If you love creamy mint and chocolate, this one is for you.

Also, try my popular Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe.

Reindeer Chow (same as Puppy Chow or Muddy Buddies)

Coconut Balls with Chocolate

How's everyone hanging in there with shopping, kid's Christmas performances, baking, work, life, etc.? This is the time of year when we all overwhelm ourselves with a million things to do.

It was harder when my kids were little. I remember going to a preschool performance when my youngest was 4. I literally had been to 8 or 9 Christmas performances in a row because of how my kids are spaced out, and I thought I was going to lose my MIND. Overstimulated to the max. 🀣

I think it's important to give our kids the best experiences we can, but not when we're running on empty. They are going to feel that.

So maybe instead of paying to go visit some Christmas light show and waiting 3 hours in line, you run through the Starbucks line and get hot cocoas, then drive around the neighborhood and watch a Christmas movie at home. Just an idea. Give yourself some grace this holiday season.

That's it for this week. Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays! Talk to you next week with some fun Christmas breakfast ideas and of course Christmas dinner too. (I've got all kinds of ideas).
