Sick Day Eats

For when you're not feeling your best

Simply Made Eats by Tara

My youngest and I both woke up with a cold today. I could feel it coming yesterday with that sore scratchy throat that we all like to think is allergies, but deep down you know it's not.

It's not too bad and I'm still able to get my work done, but it got me thinking about those recipes that always make you feel better when you're sick.

To the Sick Day Recipes...

Soup

Soup is 100% necessary on sick days and this Dutch Oven Chicken Noodle Soup and Pastina Soup are always a must make for us.

Here's more of my favorite soup recipes..

Popsicles

For sore throats, these Homemade Popsicles made for Sore Throats are amazing! They have a ton of healthy ingredients to help boost the immune system, like Mango, Pineapple and fresh ginger.

Plus, they're fun for the kids to eat too. If you have really picky eaters, you might want to cut the fresh ginger in half.

That's it for this week...

Thanks for reading and Happy Cooking!

I do like watching other people be scared though. This Labubu video had me laughing so hard. I love taking the kids trick or treating too, and here are some of my...

Cozy Soups & Stews For the Fall Season Simply Made Eats by Tara The temps got down into the thirties last night in NC, which means it's finally SOUP SEASON!!! It's one of my favorite times of the year for cooking. I started my food blog 4 years ago, which is crazy, but one of the first recipes I made was this Beef Stew. It never got any attention because it takes a long time to build traffic on a website, but I had to bring this one back to life. It's so good with rich flavors from the beef...

Fall Desserts To Bake This Weekend Simply Made Eats by Tara I go through phases of baking during the Fall & Winter Seasons and it starts with Apples, then Pumpkin, and continues to Christmas cookies, fudge, and so on (I love sweets). I'm almost finished up with apples and pumpkin is next, so here are a few of my favorites I'm loving right now and you can choose! To the Recipes... Apple Cobbler Cake This is a weird one, but stay with me because it tastes so stinking good and it's super easy to...
