The Masters Menu

At Home

Simply Made Eats by Tara

Some of you may not know this, but as of a few years ago, I've become pretty obsessed with golf.

My daughter plays golf, which started it, then I started playing. Next, I watched Full Swing on Netflix..started learning the players, getting into the golf fits, got my own clubs, joined the neighborhood golf club and now I'm all in. πŸ˜‚

I should also mention that I'm terrible at golf, but I play so much that sometimes I freak out because I think I should be way better than I am. It turns out golf is like that.

This weekend is the Masters, which is the most exciting event for Golf fans. It's in Augusta Georgia and is lottery based and invite only for spectators (except like golf professionals, etc.). Otherwise, I would be there. The menu is classic Southern recipes, for really inexpensive..like $3 for a sandwich. The scenery is beautiful, you can't have your phone, and it's the perfect tradition that hasn't changed since the beginning. I don't know of any other event like this.

I hope I get there one day, but for now, we are doing a fun copycat menu at home.

To the Recipes...

Master's Menu

Pimento Cheese: Serve it with veggies, on crackers, or make a sandwich.

BBQ Pulled Pork: If you're having a party this weekend, this will feed a ton of people and you can make my Pulled Pork Egg Rolls with the leftovers.

Classic Chicken Salad: Piled onto a croissant is the best way to eat this!

Egg Salad: Dill pickle inspired and so delish!

I also saw a club on the menu and this Turkey Club is so good with bacon, and you could always add ham.

Don't forget the Arnold Palmer to drink, which is a combo of iced tea and lemonade. I like using unsweet tea because the lemonade is sweet, but you do you! Unsweet tea is very unpopular here in the South and I could get kicked out for saying that πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

That's it for this week. Thanks for reading and I hope you're watching the Masters this weekend too!

Dinner on a Sheet Pan For days when life is beyond busy Simply Made Eats by Tara This week has been beyond chaotic and probably the most expensive week of my existence on this planet. A few days after we got home from Spring break (in Disney πŸ’ΈπŸ’ΈπŸ’Έ), our 3 year old dog Hutch started throwing up and it seemed serious because he wouldn't eat any food. I dangled bacon in his face and he refused. He's a chocolate lab and can pretty much eat anything.... Except for the giant bone that was lodged in...
