1 Week Until Turkey Day

The recipes YOU need!

Simply Made Eats by Tara

Here I am writing about the Countdown to Turkey Day and I haven't even bought one yet. EEK!

Have you ever been to Costco the week before Thanksgiving or Christmas? It's straight up dangerous and I'm going to have to fight for my life in there.

I shared side items last week, so make sure to check your email in case you missed it. Today we have appetizers, main courses and dessert!

To the Recipes...

Appetizers

We're keeping appetizers really simple, but we need them in case we run late and we don't want Grandpa getting hangry.

Main Courses

Whether you are a turkey or ham person, we've got the recipes!

Spiral Ham: Smoked on the Traeger, which I love because it removes it from the oven, so I have room for side dishes.

Smoked Turkey Breast: Another Traeger recipe and great for smaller gatherings or you can double the recipe for larger ones. No brine needed.

Oven Roasted Turkey Drumsticks: A great low effort way to bring turkey to the table in just 90 minutes.

Thanksgiving Desserts πŸ₯§πŸ₯§πŸ₯§

Apple Pie: A must have on Thanksgiving and I've got a few options. These Mini Apple Pie Bites are made in a muffin tin and really easy with store-bought dough. For a more traditional Apple Pie, try this Apple Pie with Canned Filling (takes 10 minutes to prep with only 4 ingredients).

My favorite Apple Pie recipe is this Apple Pie with Graham Cracker Crust and a Crumble Topping.

Pumpkin Desserts:

No Bake Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars

Pumpkin Bread with Cream Cheese Frosting

This Turtle Pie and Pecan Turtles are more recipes I love for the holiday and both can be prepped the day ahead.

That's it for this week. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Thanks for reading and Happy Cooking!

Thanksgiving Recipes Side Dish Edition Simply Made Eats by Tara How is it almost Thanksgiving? WOW! I'm on a major cleaning and organizing kick this weekend. I might even decorate for Christmas. You should have seen my kitchen yesterday. Basically all my dishes were pulled out of cabinets, while I whipped up hashbrown casserole and cranberry sauce. After it happened, I realized it should have never happened at the same time, but it did. I really needed a refresh and to be honest, I've just...

Sick Day Eats For when you're not feeling your best Simply Made Eats by Tara My youngest and I both woke up with a cold today. It's not too bad and I'm still able to get my work done, but it got me thinking about those recipes that always make you feel better when you're sick. To the Sick Day Recipes... Halloween Treats Trick or Treat Edition Simply Made Eats by Tara When it comes to Halloween..I'm all about the candy, but I HATE being scared. I'm usually down for any kind of event, but mention a haunted house and I'll immediately shut it down. Scary movie?! Not on my TV. Am I grown woman? Yes. Does that matter? Not one bit. I do like watching other people be scared though. This Labubu video had me laughing so hard. I love taking the kids trick or treating too, and here are some of my...
