Side Dish Edition

Simply Made Eats by Tara

How is it almost Thanksgiving? WOW! I'm on a major cleaning and organizing kick this weekend. I might even decorate for Christmas.

You should have seen my kitchen yesterday. Basically all my dishes were pulled out of cabinets, while I whipped up hashbrown casserole and cranberry sauce. After it happened, I realized it should have never happened at the same time, but it did.

I really needed a refresh and to be honest, I've just been collecting plates, bowls and glasses that never matched. I did a good target & home goods run and fixed that and I feel a little more like an adult now before the holiday season. ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ

On Turkey Day, the sides are my favorite part and today I'm sharing my top 5 favorites.

Thanksgiving Sides

Let's start off with a brand NEW recipe that is so incredibly flavor packed. French Onion everything is trending right now and I made a combo with Au Gratin potatoes. It's a French Onion Potato Bake and it will be a crowd favorite. It's work to make, but it's worth it! Also, a great one to save for Christmas if you just want mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving.

More Favorites..

  • โ€‹Green Bean Casserole: This one is so good and a classic. It's made with cream cheese and it has homemade Fried Onions on top!
  • โ€‹Glazed Carrots: These are always super popular on Thanksgiving and are really easy to make. Plus, they're gluten free and good to have for guests with diet restrictions.
  • โ€‹Old Fashioned Sweet Potato Casserole: Just like Grandma made it with the marshmallow layer. YUMMY!
  • โ€‹Boursin Mashed Potatoes: Creamy, cheesy and delicious, these mashed potatoes are a must make!

That's it for this week...

Thanks for reading and Happy Cooking!

Halloween Treats Trick or Treat Edition Simply Made Eats by Tara When it comes to Halloween..I'm all about the candy, but I HATE being scared. I'm usually down for any kind of event, but mention a haunted house and I'll immediately shut it down. Scary movie?! Not on my TV. Am I grown woman? Yes. Does that matter? Not one bit. I do like watching other people be scared though. This Labubu video had me laughing so hard. I love taking the kids trick or treating too, and here are some of my...
