Homemade Kids Meals

Quick, Easy and Healthier than Store-bought Options

Simply Made Eats by Tara

It's Summertime, which means I've been watching my kids grab unhealthy snacks from the fridge, freezer and pantry on repeat. Anyone else experiencing this?!

They are 10 and 14 and the only option is not buying them, which I'm also doing currently. They're not happy about it 😜

My youngest doesn't eat her full meals and then snacks all the time, so I wanted to make some homemade kid friendly food that she would actually eat (she's pretty picky).

To the Recipes...

Homemade Chicken Nuggets

These are made with ground chicken and baked in the oven with Panko Breadcrumbs that makes them nice and crispy. Serve them with your kids favorite sauces and watch them get devoured.

This recipe is also budget friendly and it makes 28-30 nuggets, so you can always freeze some or you can serve them for lunch a few days in a row.

Crispy Beef Tacos

These are my kid's absolute favorite meal. The shells are fried in oil to make them crispy, but at least they have less preservatives than frozen tacos. If you're against seed oils, you could brush the outsides of the tortillas with avocado oil and bake.

We make these for dinner all the time and my youngest just eats beef and cheese (sometimes sour cream), but I serve me and the hubby's with cilantro, onion and this homemade Avocado Crema. It's sooo good!

Air Fryer Chicken Bites

High Protein Pasta Salad (they can pick around a few things they don't like or you can leave it out)

Last night I did some serious Amazon clothes shopping. We're going to the beach in a few weeks and I needed some clothes (probably not as much as I bought). I'll share some fun outfits once I know if they fit well.

It's amazon prime days coming up too, so maybe they will be on sale!

That's it for this week. Thanks for reading and Happy Cooking.

She's 1/4 angel and 3/4 devil though...don't be fooled 🀣🀣 I've been trying a lot of the trending recipe ideas on social media, but of course putting my own...

The Father's Day Menu & a Furry Surprise 🐢 Simply Made Eats by Tara We got a puppy and she's soooooo cute. Her name is Penny (short for Penelope) and she's my new best friend, and Hutch's (our 2 year old lab) current enemy. I think once she gets bigger, he will learn to love her. I was not anticipating his bad attitude. Puppies are like babies and it's good they're cute. I haven't slept well in 6 nights and she pooped in my room yesterday. I love her though. This weekend is Father's Day and...
