Must Try Recipes to Beat the Heat!

Simply Made Eats by Tara

The chaos continues over here with two kids home for Summer and two crazy dogs that I still can't trust together.

Our puppy is latching onto our other dog's face with her razor teeth, and he ain't having it. It's a crazy time, but I mean how cute is Penny?! She's 1/4 angel and 3/4 devil though...don't be fooled 🀣🀣

I've been trying a lot of the trending recipe ideas on social media, but of course putting my own spin on them, and it's been really fun.

Today I'm sharing some that I made this week and I hope you try them too!

To the Recipes...

Street Corn Chicken & Rice Bowls

There's a lot of reasons to love this recipe...

  1. High Protein with 43 grams per bowl.
  2. Flavor packed with my addicting corn salad recipe loaded right into these bowls.
  3. Everyone can build their own bowls, which is always a favorite in our house (& wonderful with picky kids)

The Next Trending Item on my list was a homemade Sport's drink. Everyone has been making their own gatorade and I had to try it!

I made a Watermelon Lime version that has no added sugars and is so hydrating! Plus, only 5 ingredients, plus water and ice.

Get cooled off this Summer and try it here..

For more of a sweet treat, I made this 3 ingredient Creamy Orange Lemonade. This is similar to the Brazilian Lemonade and uses sweetened condensed milk instead of a simple syrup, which eliminates having to cook up that sticky mixture.

It would be a great one to make for those 4th of July celebrations.

July 4th Menu To Celebrate πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Simply Made Eats by Tara I love keeping Summer holidays really simple and that means keeping the menu quick and easy and prepping whatever I can ahead of time. Of course, we're grilling or smoking the main course outside too! To the Menu... Let's kick it off with my favorite Summer drinks and appetizers.. I'm grabbing a few bags of tortilla chips and I highly recommend serving them with my Elote Corn Dip, Mango Habanero Salsa or Cowboy Caviar! (All of these...

Homemade Kids Meals Quick, Easy and Healthier than Store-bought Options Simply Made Eats by Tara It's Summertime, which means I've been watching my kids grab unhealthy snacks from the fridge, freezer and pantry on repeat. Anyone else experiencing this?! They are 10 and 14 and the only option is not buying them, which I'm also doing currently. They're not happy about it 😜 My youngest doesn't eat her full meals and then snacks all the time, so I wanted to make some homemade kid friendly food...

The Father's Day Menu & a Furry Surprise 🐢 Simply Made Eats by Tara We got a puppy and she's soooooo cute. Her name is Penny (short for Penelope) and she's my new best friend, and Hutch's (our 2 year old lab) current enemy. I think once she gets bigger, he will learn to love her. I was not anticipating his bad attitude. Puppies are like babies and it's good they're cute. I haven't slept well in 6 nights and she pooped in my room yesterday. I love her though. This weekend is Father's Day and...
